The short version

- We use your email to tell you about the PlanetFigs beta and launch, and for news only if you ask for it.
- We don't sell your details or share them for anyone else's marketing.
- You can unsubscribe, see your details, or ask us to delete them at any time. Email mail@planetfigs.com.
- You need to be 13 or over to join.
Who we are

To contact us about your details, email mail@planetfigs.com.
What we collect
If you join the beta waiting list:
- your email address and country
- the kinds of minifigures you collect, if you pick any, including anything you type under "Other"
- that you confirmed you're 13 or over, and which emails you agreed to receive
- which link brought you to the page, if it carried a tag (for example from one of our social posts)
- your answers to the two optional questions, if you give them: what gets in the way of your collecting, and which makers or shops you buy from
If you tell us about your shop: whether you're a maker or a shop, your shop or brand name, website, contact email, where you sell, and any note you add.
When you visit: like any website, our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs, such as your IP address and browser type, to keep the site working and secure. This page doesn't use cookies or tracking tools.
How we use it, and why we're allowed to
| What we do | Our lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Email you about the beta and the launch | Your consent, given by ticking the box |
| Send occasional PlanetFigs news | Your consent, only if you ticked that box |
| Use your country, interests and answers to decide what to build first and where to start | Our legitimate interest in building something collectors want. We look at these answers in total, not person by person, wherever we can. |
| Reply to makers and shops who contact us | Your consent, given by ticking the box |
| Keep the site running and secure | Our legitimate interest in a working, safe website |
Everyone who joins before launch gets the Launch Crew badge when they create a PlanetFigs account. We use your email to match it to your account.
Who handles it for us
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They only process your details on our instructions.
- Vercel hosts the website. [confirm where Vercel serves and stores data for this project]
- Supabase, provided through Lovable, stores the details you send us. [confirm the database region]
- Resend sends our emails. Resend stores data in the United States.
Where a provider handles your details outside the UK, we rely on the legal safeguards it offers for international transfers. [confirm each provider's safeguard, for example the UK–US data bridge or standard contract clauses]
We don't sell your details, and we don't share them with makers, shops or anyone else for their own use.
How long we keep it
- Waiting list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or 12 months after PlanetFigs launches if you haven't created an account, whichever comes first.
- Optional answers: deleted along with your waiting list entry.
- Makers and shops: 24 months after we last hear from you, unless we start working together.
If you're under 18
You can join if you're 13 or over. We only ask for what we need, we never make your details public, and you can ask us to delete them at any time. If we find we've collected details from someone under 13, we delete them.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- show you the details we hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong
- delete your details
- stop using your details for a particular purpose
- give you a copy of your details in a common format
You can withdraw your consent at any time, using the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing mail@planetfigs.com. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use your details, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll email you before it takes effect.
